Thavius Beck

Teenage Engineering is well known for its highly innovative and portable electronic music devices. With the OP-Z (the first standalone 16-track multimedia sequencer and synthesizer), the Stockholm-based company takes audio and visual expression to a whole new level. In this course, artist and trainer Thavius Beck reveals the ins and outs of this powerful and intriguing instrument.

Thavius starts the course by explaining how to use the OP-Z hardware in tandem with the optional iOS app, which as will see can open up a lot of creative options. After getting an overview of the OP-Z internal structure, you dive into projects, patterns and tracks, and you learn how to do both live and step recordings.

Next. Thavius explains how to use the built-in mixer, and he reveals how to tweak the track parameters. Continuing with the course, you see and hear the effects in action, you discover the ultra-cool Tape Track, you learn how to sequence digital photos and 3D graphics with Photomatic & Motion, and a lot more...

So turn on your OP-Z on and join producer and trainer Thavius Beck in this visual and sonic sequencing exploration.
